How it all began...
Once upon a time, many many years ago, there lived a young witch. She had been born into a world of frights and monsters, but she knew that this was all for show, they; like her, worked and strived each year to make their one special holiday the best it could be. Such was life in Halloweentown!
On her seventeenth Halloween, the young witch was finally allowed to journey to the mortal world, and put the magic and mischief she had trained in to use. Being exceptionally skilled for her young age, the witch reveled in the thrills and chills that she could wreak upon the human world. The terrified cries of trick-or-treaters as she went about her work was music to her ears, until a different sort of scream reached her as she sailed through the night sky.
A young man, no older than fifteen was running for his life through a cornfield, behind him was a monstrous werewolf, and this citizen of Halloween didn’t follow the rules of his pack, Halloween was his night to hunt and feast.

Arm Thyself
The Halliwell brothers sat atop Spiral Hill watching as Ranga and her family were sparring using their signature weapons. Ranga's Scythe clanged off off Wench's spear, Ginger's oar clashed with Papa's sword, and Ted swung madly parrying all four. Every successful parry or maneuver resulting in a cheer from the two skeleton-ghosts.
“How come you don't have a kick ass weapon like them?” the younger brother asked Jonathan, hanging by his feet from the hill's trademark spiral.
“I don't need one is why” Jonathan scoffed, “if I need one, I just summon my wand!” he added with a flick of his wrist producing the aforementioned magical implement with a whirl of black smoke.
Daniel rolled his eyes and mirrored his brother's action, his own wand whirling into being, “that doesn't count” he laughed, “everyone with a wand can do that cheap trick, I'm talking about a real weapon, like Ranga's scythe or that sword mom uses when she's mad at us or D

Halloween Hi-jinks (late...)
“Oi! Halliwell, are you coming or not?” snapped a brother of Theta Sigma Xi, brotherhood of magical musicians.
“Cram it Feral” Jonathan chuckled descending the stairs of the music building, his backpack slung over one shoulder. “We've got all the time in the world before fright night begins” he was still clad in the uniform of the university's marching band, having just completed the traditional Halloween parade. “Feral” wasn't his full name, but the fraternity had a tradition of either referring to you by your surname, or a special nickname attributed to your abilities. (Jonathan's Halliwell lineage afforded him respect without need of a nickname, as it was well known he was growing to be just as skilled as his revered mother.)
The duo set off across the campus, but soon Jonathan became aware of an unsettling presence in the air.
“Do you feel that...” Feral wondered,
Jonathan's eyes illuminated, “Yes...”

Doctor... Who?
Sharon Halliwell sighed and got out of her car, the mortal world was far too humdrum for her taste, but she had to keep returning to avoid any suspicion from neighbors, or worse... Coleman's side of the Family.
A cough captured her attention, she turned to see a wizened old man walking towards her. His short gray hair was slicked up in the front, a look that, despite being a notoriously youthful style, suited him quite well. He wore a rough and scarred leather jacket, with what appeared to be an ammunition belt wrapped around a red waistcoat. His black trousers were loosely jammed into a pair of heavy combat boots.
“Excuse me,” he began, “I'm looking for a young lady by the name of Sharon Halliwell, you wouldn't happen to know her, would you?” there was a thin trace of sadness to the old voice, like he had just witnessed a great tragedy unfold.
“Yes I do actually” Sharon smiled, though still unsure about her strange caller, the witch felt a strange s

The Timelord's Guide to the Universe: A preview
The TARDIS hummed merrily as the Timelord went about his work. Muttering about “finally fixing the randomiser”, little did he know that it was perfectly fine, she just kept switching it on when he wasn't looking. He was currently lying under the main console as she was in flight, the gleaming silver instrumentation, kept meticulously polished by it's pilot, danced merrily in the light of the time rotor.
As far as TARDIS control rooms went, this was a relatively modest setup, aside from the gleaming silver console and sparkling crystal time rotor, the room was bare. The walls appeared to be made of an unassuming black marble, with doors leading off to deeper areas of the vast ship. Closer inspection of certain sections would reveal hidden input panels, that could be used to summon various furniture and accoutrements from hidden cubbyholes.
The TARDIS was surprised by how very attuned to detail this incarnation of her Timelord had become, while only in his second body, this o

Random Tales: How it all began
MANY YEARS AGO...
Jonathan Halliwell ran through the streets of Sacred Grove, his terrified heart pounded within his chest. Pounding ever onward as he sprinted to his house. Images of what had happened at his school still filled his mind.
“look at Halliwell, pretending he's Drum Major” The color-guard captain had teased, she was a few years older than he was, and took delight in making his every moment at school a living nightmare. Jonathan had been listening to a recording of his favorite marching tune and had began lightly conducting along to the beat, a small tick he'd formed many years ago.
“Just leave me alone Tiffany” he'd pleaded, “I haven't even said anything to you today...” but the girl was having none of it,
grabbing him by the shirt she sneered, “Give up, you'll never make it,” she smirked, “A freak like you shouldn't even be in the band.”
The word “freak” seemed to trigger a reaction, Jonathan's eyes h

TDDUP: Chapter 13: Goodnight...
As the revelry of the night passed by, Jonathan finally found himself able to stand and had donned his favorite pajamas: a black satin smoking jacket with gold trim and a cream-colored sleep-shirt. Finishing the look was a pair of baggy gold-silk trousers and a perfectly mismatched set of red fur-lined slippers. Feeling a slight chill he clicked his fingers and summoned a black bathrobe over his frame, satisfied with his appearance he strolled downstairs to find the manor nearly empty.
Stepping outside he relished in the crisp feeling of the October night, drawing his robe tighter around him. The jokers were gathered around a singular tent in the camp, making his way through the throng he found his mother at last and took her hand in surprise when he saw what was happening:
An elderly joker whom had participated in the battle earlier had been wounded deeper than any of the healers, or Sharon had been able to mend. His family was now gathered about him to say their final farewells, with

Clash of the Stories 4: Ginger vs... Daniel?
The predator stalked its prey... sharp metallic fangs gleamed in the light as it readied for attack. All it needed was for its victim to appear and then it would...
“Oh THERE you are Bitey!” a voice chimed, immediately the predator stopped its pursuit and began to purr like an excited kitten. Master was good, Master was kind, and Master always gave the best skritches behind the armor.
Jonathan picked up the small teardrop-shaped creature and absentmindedly stroked its silver shell. He had found Bitey broken in an inter-dimensional bazaar and had immediately pitied the broken creature, so he took it back to his lab and restored it. He had worked with Shadow to bring it back to life, using the brain of a hyper-intelligent species of cat, and a few “spare parts” that Elric would never miss they had succeeded in creating the ultimate house-pet.
Unfortunately Bitey suffered from a few “quirks” as Jonathan referred to them, the most amusing (or terrifying,

A (late) Christmas Tale
Jonathan and Dark walked through the streets of Sacred Grove, Jonathan had dragged his Joker companion along to witness something he described as “the most breathtaking sight you will ever see.” And so the Scarecrow-class had followed his partner through the chilly, snow covered streets toward the city square.
A small crowd had formed around the Christmas tree, the tree itself was a sight to see, decorated in thousands upon thousands of sparkling ornaments, it's multicolored lights twinkling merrily in the crisp air. Atop the tree was a star that seemed to have been fashioned from purest gold, it shone clear through the night, bathing all who stood near the tree in it's glow.
There was a loud “CRACK” and Sharon Halliwell burst into reality right next to the two men, Dark gave a frightened squeak and grabbed Jonathan, falling to the ground with the Halliwell boy in tow.
“Hello boys” Sharon smirked, satisfied that her knack for scaring the daylights ou

TDDUP: Chapter 12: All in a night's work
Sharon made her way down the hall of her manor, taking note of how for the first time in over twenty years the halls were full of guests and friends. Jokers who had finished their first aid treatment were silently wandering the halls, or making their way downstairs to set up camp in the grounds.
Upon entering the guest bedroom she noted that the remaining occupants of the room were all speaking warmly in a hushed tone and stealing glances to the far end of the room, a closer look revealed why:
Daniel was slumped over onto the foot of the bed containing his unconscious brother, fast asleep. Clutched tightly in his hand was a well-used Harry Potter novel, a favorite of the two siblings, and one Sharon herself often took delight in reading, both to herself, and on a rare occasion to her children. The youngest boy had obviously been reading to his brother until he himself had fallen asleep.
Dark silently approached the scene, “it must be quite a task raising two boys with such differ

Attack of the Mary Sue
Daniel Halliwell watched in awe as his mother put his older brother through the paces of a new magical training course. A series of levitating targets and spinning obstacles were laid out in a gauntlet of sorts, whirling posts, moving walls, and a few flame-spitting statues led to a bell at the finish.
Sharon navigated the maze with ease, her dress billowing as she flowed effortlessly through the course, launching spells at the targets and performing dizzying feats of acrobatic skill to avoid the obstacles. She finished by launching a single bolt of lightning at the bell, ringing it and marking her time, not a single hair on the witch's head was out of place.
Just before Jonathan began his run, a loud explosion at the edge of the manor's protective barrier drew their attention. The trio watched in shock and horror as the shield failed and crumbled away. A lone figure strode forward, her rainbow colored hair blowing in the (strangely absent) breeze.
Jonathan's palms ignited with black a

Seems like the Journal is just about to shrivel up and fall off from lack of use... And I'm just as guilty for neglecting the poor thing.

Got a few things in the works, and I swear I'll finish that battle tournament contest between :iconmanga-raga: and I's works, I believe we've gone into our 5th year of this little shindig.

A few amusing test stories are in the works, mostly from my need to flesh out a few characters that have been woefully neglected, as well as continuing my Five Nights at Freddy's tale, i'm still researching the lore and playing the games, despite my iPod's unfortunate tendency to be flung across the room in absolute terror when jumpscared for the eighty-buhmillionth time....

No rest for the wicked it seems,
